It is the spirit of Christmas brought to life through these beautiful decorations.
Tips to create a very nice decoration for Christmas time
There can be found some useful tips in order to take the maximum advantage of the resources you have and therefore create a special decoration to transform your house during this special season.
- Doesn’t matter the size of the house, it always has a main entrance, and it can be decorated on many different ways. This is the first part of your house that will be visible for your visitors and it has to be able to give a warm welcome to everyone that is invited to your house on this season. You can keep the decoration of the main entrance of your house simple, you can frame your door with a garland garnished with a few pineapples. Or you can also place a floral wreath on your main door. Choose a wreath (pick up one that can be adequate to the style of your decoration), then choose a wide strip (the recommended materials for the strip are grosgrain or silk), so you can use it to hang the wreath on the door.
- If you have a covering above the porch or if your main door has a small roof arched, you can decorate the border you can use a loop that looks like branches of a pine tree (of course made of synthetic materials) and along the loop you can hang Christmas motives like golden pineapples, small silver bells, or colored balls.
- Also, instead of hanging a wreath of flowers only on the front door you can hang one wreath of flowers on each window. You must choose all the wreaths with the same style, colors and size, and choose a bigger wreath of flowers which can be combined with those that are going to decorate the windows; the last one will be used to decorate the main entrance.
- If the weather is too cold you can decorate the entrance of your house with lights made with ice. Fill a pail with water in a portion of ¾, and place a smaller recipient inside (it can be a can of coffee), the smaller recipient must be filled with stones in order to keep its place. Leave the pail outside your house during the night so the water can freeze inside it. The next morning spill some hot water over the pail to loosen it a little bit and spill some hot water also over the smaller recipient for the same purpose. Once the smaller recipient has been removed you can place a light on the interior of the “vessel” of ice. You can create a lot of “ice lights” to decorate the passage in front of your house.
- If there is a couple of columns in front of your house, you can decorate them wrapping each column with a spiral garland or ribbon, on each garland there can be some Christmas motives like small golden bells or some colored balls.
A special Christmas tree on the front yard
A Christmas tree is much more than a simple motive for decoration; it usually has some sentimental value. Some Christmas trees are inherited from parents to children, while other Christmas trees are acquired to commemorate significant moments or certain events. Some people buy Christmas trees for their beauty, and today there can be found artificial trees made with a lot of creativity, which look very similar to real trees.
The first thing you must consider is where to place your favorite tree, it should not be placed near any heat source, and you should also keep the tree far from high traffic areas where the tree can be pushed or beaten and fall after the impact, or where someone can stumble on light cables. Also the pedestal where the tree is going to be placed must be stable in order to prevent catastrophic falls.
After you have picked the right place on your front yard to place your tree is time to choose a nice one. It is recommended for environmental care to get an artificial tree, besides you will be able to use this tree for many years before having to acquire a new one. There can be found beautiful artificial trees that have lights incorporated and with an appearance so natural that they almost look like a real tree. You can decorate your tree with snow-like wreaths and add to the decoration different small ornaments like little angels, pigeons, colored little balls. There are décor stores that can provide you a lot of beautiful and colorful ornaments, some of them handmade that can be used to enhance the beauty of your Christmas tree and do not forget the classic little star at the top.
